Meet the Team

Canaan is the Head Trainer and co-owner of Ronin K9 Training. A Carrollton, Georgia native, Canaan grew up surrounded by dogs and developed a lifelong appreciation for the unique bond between dogs and their owners.
In 2016, Canaan joined the United States Navy, where he served until 2020. During his time in the Navy, he discovered another passion—MMA. He dedicated himself to training and competing in the sport, developing the discipline, work ethic, and determination that would later become an important part of his approach to dog training.
Canaan’s passion for dog training began with his own dog, Ace. Working with Ace sparked an interest in understanding canine behavior and communication and ultimately led him to pursue professional dog training.
In 2023, Canaan graduated from Highland Canine School for Dog Trainers, where he specialized in pet dog training, service dog training, detection work, and bite work.
In 2024, Canaan moved to Idaho with his wife and began building Ronin K9 Training. While in Idaho, he further developed his skills through a mentorship and internship with Fowler K9 Academy, focusing on the training of military, law enforcement, and sport protection dogs. He also gained extensive experience decoying for military and law enforcement K9s.
In 2025, Canaan and his wife returned to his hometown of Carrollton, Georgia, where they continued to grow Ronin K9 and serve families throughout Carrollton and the surrounding areas.
As the Head Trainer at Ronin K9, Canaan takes a balanced and individualized approach to every dog he works with. His favorite part of training is building relationships with the many different dogs he works with. He understands that no two dogs are the same, and he enjoys learning each dog’s personality, identifying what motivates them, and creating a unique transformation in every dog he trains.

Raised in Oregon, Morgan developed a love for animals at an early age. She spent her childhood riding horses and competing in show jumping, where she learned the value of patience, consistency, and the strong bond that can exist between humans and animals.
In 2015, Morgan graduated from the United States Naval Academy and commissioned as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Her military career helped develop the leadership, discipline, and problem-solving skills that continue to shape her approach to dog training today.
After leaving the Marine Corps in 2020, Morgan discovered her true passion—training dogs and helping owners build lasting relationships with them. From 2020 to 2022, she completed an internship and worked with All Around K9 Training in San Antonio, Texas, gaining extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and training goals.
In 2023, Morgan completed an Explosive Detection K9 Handler Course, earning certification through the International Police Work Dog Association (IPWDA) with her assigned detection dog, Tracy. That same year, she attended Highland Canine School for Dog Trainers, where she specialized in obedience training and service dog training.
In 2024, Morgan and her husband founded Ronin K9 in Boise, Idaho, with the goal of helping dog owners build confident, reliable, and enjoyable relationships with their dogs through clear communication and proven training methods. In 2025, they relocated to Carrollton, Georgia, where Ronin K9 continues to grow and serve families throughout the region.
Today, Morgan manages Ronin K9’s social media presence and oversees all client bookings and appointments, ensuring every client receives a personalized experience from the very first interaction.
Morgan’s favorite part of dog training isn’t just teaching dogs new skills—it’s helping owners gain confidence in themselves. She believes that successful training comes from strengthening the relationship between dog and owner, empowering both to communicate clearly and enjoy life together.
Our dogs are a huge part of our lives and our journey into professional dog training. Ace and Rey are not only our personal dogs, but important members of the Ronin K9 family. They have taught us countless lessons about different breeds, personalities, and the unique relationships we build with our dogs.

Rey is a 5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who loves adventure and exploring new places. She especially enjoys playing ball and taking long walks with her brother, Ace.

Ace is a 10-year-old Great Pyrenees/Pit Bull mix and a true gentle giant. He loves physical affection, spending time with his family, and taking long walks with his sister, Rey.
Together, Ace and Rey are a big part of our family and continue to remind us that every dog is unique and has their own personality, needs, and strengths.
